This one won't string you along...

Here we have our next piece of free music software! And for this one it's quite fun, here we have the Vinyl Guitar by Echo Sound Works.

The Vinyl Guitar has a straightforward UI (who couldn't love that purple too), featuring 7 dials, these being (from left to right)

  • Fret Noise

  • String Buzz

  • Pick Noise

  • Reverb

  • Attack

  • Release

  • Dynamics

There are also some deeper parameter settings for Fret noise, String Buzz, Reverb Settings and Nylon Strings, that when clicked allow for more choices to become avalible!

This instrument is worth way more than what you will pay for it! It works fantastically when making Lo-Fi music and to be honest, sounds just as good as many expensive guitar emulation sample instruments.

A short one here, but a huge thanks to Echo Sound Works for creating this instrument and giving it away for free, making it accessible for all; these kinds of efforts are what will allow musicians of all generations and backgrounds across the globe the opportunity to create without boundaries. It is highly appreciated and of the utmost importance!

We would love to hear what you create from these posts! So if you end up using any of the mentioned Free software. Please get in contact!

If you made it this far, thanks for reading!

Works on all good platforms, Windows and Mac (no mention has been made of if this works on the M1 processor; however, in testing, there was no problem with performance at all).
